New to pickleball
Never played? Start here.
Pickleball is easy to pick up and hard to put down. You need shoes and an hour; we have the paddles, the coaches and the air-conditioning.
Three ways to start
Take a beginner class
Beginner classes run each week: S$65 off-peak or S$75 at peak, per player, for a 1-hour class of 4 to 6 players. That includes the court, and water or 100 Plus is on us, every session. See class times
Come to open play
Come on your own and get games with other players, every Tuesday 8pm to 11pm (S$25 a player) and Sunday 5pm to 7pm (S$18 a player). Join on Reclub. About open play

What to bring
Shoes
Non-marking indoor court shoes.
Paddles
No need to bring one. Free demo paddles are yours for your whole session: no deposit, no purchase needed.
Clothes
Whatever you move in. Every court is indoors and air-conditioned.
Time to rest
There is a lounge between games, showers, and food and drink to order from the club's outlets.
The basic rules
Enough to play your first game. A coach will fill in the rest.
- Most games are doubles, two against two, on a court the size of a badminton doubles court.
- Serve underhand, from behind the baseline, diagonally across to the opposite service box.
- Two-bounce rule: the return of serve must bounce, and so must the next shot back. After that, you can hit the ball in the air.
- The kitchen: the zone 7 feet either side of the net. You cannot volley (hit the ball before it bounces) while standing in it.
- In standard scoring, only the serving side scores. Games are usually to 11, and you must win by 2.
- A rally ends when the ball lands out of bounds, goes into the net, bounces twice, or someone volleys from the kitchen.
